Earthquake

May 17, 2009 20:44

Just had an earthquake. They usually don't bother me, but this apartment shakes when a big rig drives by so earthquakes are always extra shakey here. We've been having a lot of little quakes recently. Strange.

Just posted about it. It wasn't little, but rather big (really close to me) so if you felt it... whoa.

And there was another one today. I'm assuming an aftershock considering it's location. The big one's coming....aahhhhhhh....runs away screaming. :)

It's the biggest I've felt in a long time.

I keep feeling stuff, but most of the time it's just a big truck or someone coming up the stairs. Right where my futon is seems to be the point in the apartment where you feel every slight movement. :)

Thanks. I don't think it caused any damage at the epicenter. Just strange that we've been getting more frequent quakes, but then it' usually a good thing as that means the stress level on the faults is hopefully being reduced with each quake. Hopefully.

Little ones are better then 1 huge one... right? That's what I think anyway. ;)

Usually yes. Little ones reduce the stress on the fault hopefully preventing a larger one. At least that's how it sometimes works. :)
