He's gorgeous! We have turtles, three to be exact. They started out as cute, tiny babies in a ten gallon tank. They are now larger than yours, living in a 90 gallon pond on our lanai.
Talk about three spoiled turtles! They demand you feed them each time you walk by their pond (which is all the time since the door to the backyard is right next to it).
What type of turtle do you have? We have a yellow-belly slider, an orange-belly slider and a Florida cooter.
I brought my turtle home in the bottom of a McDonald's drink cup. That's how tiny he was. He's still kinda a baby, in turtle terms. Just about the size of the ones in the pet store.
And yes, for some reason, my turtle always thinks he's starving, too. I feed him twice a day.
Grover is a red-eared slider. I found him in an area where he shouldn't have been (think some kids set him loose), so he got adopted.
OMG! I remember when he was a tiny little tiddler! What a big guy he's gotten to be. Not terribly happy about being photographed, I see, like someone else I know. 8-D Thanks for sharing him with us. It's good to see him doing so well.
