Long time no talk (or) an entry from C-bus

Getting to C-bus for dad's 60th b-day celebration took a while. A long while, actually. I left OyBerlin! at 10 and came home at about 5:45. Why so long, you ask? Well, I went to the airport via LCT and found a small crowd of Oybies going to a museum(?). One of them got off somewhere else and had time to kill, and I ended up tagging along with ( Read more... )

Hey Ronnie,

Adventures are absolutely fun when you have no agenda on how to go about getting to a place. In japan, there was a time when I did not plan on going anywhere and I just hopped on a train to stop anywhere where I thought the station was interesting and I stopped by this place which was a place where one of my favorite movies was shoot... which was really cool!

Neat and arguably more gorgeous than here! Today's adventure was walking from the Greyhound to Tower City. The walk was nice and not too long (15 min. or so). Definitely worth saving $4 for a cab.

My mother always makes her own Glogg at Christmastime and then has tons of bottles that she pawns off on her friends and relatives. I hope your family finds it easier to distribute their Glogg.

Tee hee! I find it fascinating that your mother makes Glogg; probably better than the purchased stuff.

She puts it in a huge kettle on the counter for a few months, with all the alcohol and fruit. Once stuff starts fermenting, the smell permeates the entire kitchen... Sometimes, the bottom of the kettle breaks and there's Glogg all over the counter. Also, she takes all the fruit out at the end and puts it in glass jars on the counter. Some of them have been there for many, many years in a happy party in the kitchen.

(Since I don't drink, I can't really speak to the taste. But I may be able to have her bring some for you after Christmas, since you're all 21 and she won't be supplying to minors. If you want.)

I didn't know the drink is alcoholic! The one I get isn't so.

Mmmmmm...nothing is better than homemade goodness.
