NOT happy about the direction Dollhouse has taken. Will write up a review after I've watched the episodes again. Something went wrong with the signal and some scenes got messed up. But here are some of my initial thoughts under the cut. Warning for spoilers!

did I fall asleep? )

I so agree! The first episode was really choppy. It was a letdown after the supreme awesomeness of The Left Hand. I haven't watched the second one yet, so I can't comment. My local station fubar'd the airing so that we could have a Xmas special, so my DVR only got Part One recorded. *waits for Hulu*

It really was! I just want to go and watch last week's episodes again and pretend these didn't happen. Maybe write some more fanfic, lol.

I basically had the first episode on for background noise. I looked up whenever I heard someone other than Ballard or Echo speak but I convientently did not watch their scenes together.

I actually really liked the 2nd episode, if you take out the oh-so-epic!love of B/E. I LOVED everything with Alpha and Joel and Topher and Boyd and Victor/Sierra:)! If only the B/E scenes were replaced with Paul/Madeleine or Echo/Perrin, I would've been a happy fangirl.

Hee, I know. Echo/Perrin had more chemistry in that little GPS removal scene than that hour long seeming montage of training between Paul and Echo.

I need to watch the second episode again, definitely. A good 5 min were lost during my viewing due to stupid cable problems or whatever. I may need a vomit bucket at the ready though. Epic!Vomit. lol

I never thought I would say this, but I'm ready for Caroline to come back! Haha.

Okay, first off and totally unrelated... happy belated birthday! I didn't know it happened until just now because I haven't been around the net in a few days. I hope you did something fun.

I loved the last two episodes. Opportunistic Adelle rocks. I mean, it doesn't make her likeable but the actress did a good job with it. I liked Alpha much better this time around because he let up (or the writers did) on all the crazy rambling.

I, of course, loved Echo and Paul and found the tenderness believable. So much so that I thought you might even buy it a little... yes, there I was mid romance overload thinking "I wonder how Lisa is taking this..." Doesn't make me gay or anything, right? I jest.

Oh, and Topher... good Lord, Topher. I think I'm falling in love with him.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't have my bday listed on here, so there were no reminders. Don't feel bad :)

I've been in love with Topher for a while now. Definitely my fave character. So at least we can agree on that!

I just can't stand Paul, I'm sorry. I felt nothing when he went braindead, lol. It's like "and this is going to be different from normal Paul how?" I think I would be less annoyed by the Paul/Echo thing if it wasn't made out to be this Epic!Romance, the progression of which was completely done behind our backs. And the whole "You didn't sleep with her = you love her" bit was really lame and obnoxious to me. It totally fits with his virgin/whore complex though. We know how he acts towards women he does sleep with.

Adelle is such an interesting character, and while I am pissed at her at the moment, I just really enjoy her.
