Chanyeol glances at his watch nervously while walking as fast as he can.

He's late. He's totally late to the meeting with his friends. He knows they're a bit used to that, maybe, kind of, as Chanyeol often comes pretty late to the meetings. They bear it, thankfully, and it's not like he can do much about that, it's Chanyeol's work. Being a famous rapper/musician/actor/model, he gets busy at times, staying at work, various people keeping him at places, and he can do nothing about it.

But now here he is, finally walking towards their favorite place; thirty minutes late but always.

Chanyeol's actually excited to see them. It's been two weeks since he last saw his two best friends.

And then he's getting close, just a few minutes left to get there, when something distracts him.

Well, somebody distracts Chanyeol.

He sees a guy, standing somewhere on the side and leaning on the wall of an ice cream shop. He's smiling to himself and as Chanyeol's getting near he hears the guy humming something adorably.

Chanyeol has no idea how and why things that happen happen, later he'll try to blame some kind of hole in his brain, his judgment turning off for a moment, the weird butterflies feeling in his stomach, the guy's beautiful, shining aura, or something like that. He doesn't know at all.

And just because he doesn't know, he just walks towards the guy, who glances at him surprised with big, cute eyes. And then, because Chanyeol still doesn't know, he kisses the guy.

He feels the guy tensing up, and he gets why, but he just doesn't stop and the guy actually starts kissing back and Chanyeol feels like he might just faint at how beautiful it feels.

He feels the guy putting his hands on Chanyeol's hips, who smiles into the kiss at that.

The kiss continues for a moment longer and then they pull apart, both grinning slightly.

Except, then they realize what just happened and the guy's eyes widen again.

Chanyeol only blinks at the other, feeling pretty confused himself.

"Why is Chanyeollie-hyung kissing our daddy?" a little voice asks.

"Do you want to be our appa, too?" another one adds.

Chanyeol panics a bit, because, dear lord, somebody has seen him kissing a guy(!), and he looks around and sees nothing. He blinks again and looks lower. And, yeah, two little kids are looking at him, most likely twins.

Now it's Chanyeol's turn to widen his eyes, glancing at the guy and then at the twins and back at the guy.

"I'm not married. Nor in a relationship," the guy suddenly says and then seems as shocked by himself saying that.

It both surprises and pleases Chanyeol.

So he nods.

Then he remembers, he's in hurry, he needs to go, some more time and his friends will be ready to chop his balls off, which he likes too much to let that happen.

On the other hand, he doesn't really want to leave the guy. It seems silly and feels silly and definitely is silly, but Chanyeol's getting this weird ~the only one~ feeling.

But on the first hand again... Chanyeol thinks fast and then quickly takes out his card out of his wallet and shows it to the guy.

"Here." He puts it in the guy's hand. "Could you, like, not tell anybody about... this? But, please, please, please, call me. Okay? I'm so ridiculously late. Call me." Chanyeol smiles awkwardly at the guy and takes his hand to squeeze it lovingly. Then he lets go and quickly walks away, slightly patting the two kids on their heads.

As Chanyeol's going, he keeps on looking back at the three, who are only staring at him, too. Which, okay, feels pretty awkward. So he waves just as awkwardly, but only the kids wave back.

Because, as Chanyeol's walking away, all the guy can do is blink.

"Daddy?" The twins look at their father.

He looks down and blinks at his children.

"Gege..." Tao only sighs, because at this point he's pretty sure Yifan is so not listening to him anymore.

"And he just keeps on working and coming back late. Like, he says that it's just for today, that he'll have less work soon, but it seems to be getting worse everyday," Yifan continues talking into his coffee. "It's all started after the last letter from the adoption agency." He takes the spoon and starts stirring his coffee. "And it's doesn't help I still don't understand why they keep delaying it." The stirring gets faster.

"Maybe they have a reason for doing this?" Tao suggests carefully.

Yifan looks up and glares at him.

"What reason? What's wrong with us?" he pretty much growls.

"It's... They like being careful? They're going carefully through kids, because so many of them deserve such awesome parents that you two will be?" Tao says after a moment, hoping it's enough to turn off the glare.

Fortunately, it is and Yifan looks back to his coffee.

"But I just... What do I do..." he mumbles quietly into the cup.

Tao sighs. He thinks for a moment what to say and when he's almost getting that, when he's actually opening his mouth to say whatever it is that he wants to, suddenly somebody jumps out of nowhere and sits on the empty chair.

Tao jumps a little at the annoying surprise and hopes nobody noticed. Then he glares at Chanyeol, because, really, couldn't he just appear like a normal person? And Tao thinks about the question in his mind and decides that nope, not really, Chanyeol couldn't, he'd have to be normal first, he's not. Nobody of them is.

Tao really should think about finding normal friends soon.

"Do you believe in seeing a person and just knowing it's the only one?" Chanyeol asks.

Tao sighs again, because, seriously, instead of greeting them properly he just goes and gets delusional.

On the other hand, Yifan isn't even listening, too busy mumbling to himself and stirring the coffee.

"That's ridicu-" is as far as Tao gets, because a waiter appears with his second piece of the strawberry cake.

Except, it's a different waiter.

Except, this waiter is smiling.

Except, this waiter's smile is the most beautiful and precious one Tao has ever seen.

Except, Tao kind of freezes at the sight of the guy. His brain freezes especially, leaving just the heart to beat as fast as it's only possible.

Which is why all he manages is a nod. Besides that, Tao's just gaping dumbly at the guy as he's walking away to some other table.

It's how, with Yifan torturing the coffee, Chanyeol glaring at his cellphone and Tao staring after the waiter, they all are quite screwed.

When the meeting is over and everyone needs to go, either back home or back to work (poor Chanyeol), and Tao actually stays behind at the cafe, saying he needs to finish his (third) coffee, Yifan says bye to both and goes.

He's not in hurry, though. He knows he'll come back home to nobody, Minseok still busy at work. So Yifan goes through a few shops, buys stuff at the market.

When he opens the apartment's door, he knows he's right, seeing no light on.

About hour later Yifan's watching a random drama and eating ramen, when he gets a text. He knows who is it from and what about before he even fully hears the signal.

From: Minseokkie-yeobo
To: Kris
I'm staying longer today, dear.
Don't wait for me. I'm sorry.

Yifan sighs into his ramen.

Meanwhile Luhan is at his home, still staring at the card he got a few hours ago and he's still ridiculously confused.

Because, really, the whole thing is confusing.

Because, really, how is a known celebrity suddenly appearing out of nowhere, kissing you and telling you to call him later a not confusing thing?

It really is. Confusing, that is.

So Luhan is staring at the card, not sure what to do.

What if it was some kind of joke? Luhan has no idea.

On the other hand, Chanyeol did look pretty honest about the whole thing. A little bit confused and shocked, too.

Luhan has no idea what to do. He whines in annoyance and hits his head onto the table.

"Are you calling him, daddy?" Baekhyun asks while trying to get his little body on the chair.

Chairs at their house aren't that big, but for little six years old Baekhyunnie it's not a little one.

"I don't know," Luhan answers after a moment of thinking. "Do you think I should?" He looks at his son seriously.

"Yes!" Baekhyun nods, smiling cheerfully.

"Should I call him, because he's one of your favorite idols?" Luhan narrows his eyes a bit.

"Chanyeollie-hyung seemed to like you, daddy," Kyungsoo says, joining his brother on the chair.

Luhan sighs, because he doesn't know.

"Chanyeollie-hyung must've adored your pretty face," Baekhyun adds and both twins start giggling while their father glares at them.

"I'm not pretty. I'm manly!"

The twins giggle some more.

"I'll take your Chanyeollie-hyung albums from you," Luhan threatens. The two look at him terrified and jump out of the chair.

"Daddy, you're the manliest!" Baekhyun decides, running over to their daddy and hugging his tummy.

"And the biggest!" Kyungsoo hugs the other side of their daddy.

"And the best!"

"And the scariest!"

Luhan starts chuckling at this point and hugs his twins back.

"Okay." He sighs, smiling. He just can't with those two.

"So you won't take the albums?" Kyungsoo wants to make sure.

Luhan shakes his head.

"Yaaay!" The twins cheer and run to their room, most likely to go and play with the albums or whatever fandom stuff they have.

Luhan can't help but chuckle at how adorable his kids are.

And then he glances at the card.

Well, maybe he'll try?

Maybe?

When Chanyeol is really done with the schedule and finally back home, he's totally spent. He barely manages to get inside the apartment and jump at the couch. Then he proceeds to lie down for a few minutes, not even considering moving or doing anything else beside staring at his cellphone that still hasn't called.

Except, Chanyeol kind of knows he should move. The couch isn't the most comfortable thing to sleep on, regardless of how comfy it seems to be at the moment.

So he takes a few more moments and gets up.

Chanyeol goes to the kitchen to eat something then to decide he doesn't feel like anything. But he feels like acting snobby, so he takes a bottle of advocaat and goes to the bathroom. In there, he makes himself a bath, with the bathtub full with water and bubbles and fruity smell and a little, cute ducky and a few ships. Because he can.

It's a very lovely way to end a day, Chanyeol thinks about twenty minutes later, relaxing in the bathtub, the warm water feeling amazing and a pretty glass full of advocaat in his hand. What more would he need?

Except, Chanyeol's phone suddenly starts ringing. He panics at first, because he doesn't know who's calling, maybe it's the guy, finally, but where did Chanyeol put the stupid phone.

He has this little panic attack in the bathtub, with lots of hands movement, waving and a fishing ship toy and the ducky fall out our and onto the floor. It really takes Chanyeol a few moments to figure out that he put his cellphone onto the shelf that's above the bathtub.

"Hello?" Chanyeol finally answers the phone. The number isn't one he knows, so he gets partly excited, partly worried.

"Um, Park Chanyeol?" he hears back and the voice certainly feels familiar.

"Yeah?" Chanyeol sighs at how uncertain he's sounding.

"It's Luhan." He raises his brow as he notices that on the one knee he's got above the water level, he must've poured advocaat on it in the moment of panic.

"Luhan?" Chanyeol doesn't know the name. But on the other hand, he doesn't know the name of his only one, too. Yet.

"Um, yeah. The guy that you... From the afternoon? With the twins?" The caller decides to say and Chanyeol smiles.

And so the kids were twins! He guessed right.

"Luhan," Chanyeol repeats again, only this time the smile is easily heard in his voice.

"Yeah," the other voice sounds a bit more confident, too.

"I'm glad you called," Chanyeol says, observing the advocaat slowly dropping from his knee. He thinks that if it had a different color, a light white color, it'd look pretty inappropriate right now. And kind of fun, too.

"Are you?" Luhan says and from what Chanyeol can tell, the other seems to be partly surprised and partly pleased with that. Good. He can almost imagine Luhan's smile. The almost being the key words, because he hasn't seen him smiling. Yet.

"Yeah. Very glad," Chanyeol answers, his voice turning unusually gentle.

"Good." At this point, Chanyeol really, really regrets he hasn't seen the other's smile, because it's obvious Luhan's doing so.

They don't say anything for another moment, Chanyeol glancing at the two toys laying pathetically on the floor. The silence isn't uncomfortable, but he wants to say something, he wants to ask things, he wants to find out stuff about the other.

So he drinks whatever's left in his glass (not much at all) and decides to risk it.

"Can we meet?" Chanyeol asks, squeezing another ship toy in his fist.

For a few moments Luhan doesn't answer.

"When?"

Chanyeol grins at that and waves his hand in happiness. Accidentally, he lets go of the ship and it falls on the shelf above the bathtub, pushing off a few bottles of shampoo, lotions and stuff, and they all fall into the water.

"What was that?" Luhan asks, curious by the sounds he's hearing.

"Would Saturday be okay for you?" Chanyeol decides to ignore Luhan's question.

"I guess it's fine," Luhan says after a moment of thinking. "I'm not working. But can I take the twins? They don't have kindergarten at Saturdays and I can't leave them alone."

It's Chanyeol turn to feel pretty curious now.

"Of course. I'll be happy to meet them," he answers first. "But... Might I ask something?"

"Yeah?"

"Are the twins yours?" Chanyeol doesn't know if he should ask, if maybe it's too early to do so or if it's still inappropriate at this point.

"They are," Luhan answers and Chanyeol raises his brow at the way the other's voice sound as it kind of seems to be, like, quite challenging?

"How about their mother?" He decides to risk it one more time.

"Gone," is the short answer. Chanyeol doesn't know what to think of it, but he's pretty sure Luhan doesn't seem like he wants to talk about it. So he drops the topic, knowing enough for now anyway.

"So I'll need you to text me your address," Chanyeol says cheerfully.

"Uh?" Luhan seems confused.

"I'm taking you three out on Saturday, right?" He grins.

And since that moment, things seem to be going pretty awesomely.

*

Tao is at his third piece of cake and staring at the door behind which his waiter just disappeared a few minutes ago, when he feels a poke to his arm.

That's very confusing to Tao while he's been in his little, cute world since his friends went away. The little, cute world that consists of only himself and the waiter. So, really, what's a third person doing here and poking him?

He blinks a few times, taking that time to come back to this cruel world and be ready to face it, before he looks at whoever is poking him.

And, yeah, it's some dude. He's wearing similar thing Tao's waiter was wearing, so the dude probably works here, too. But he's not his waiter, so Tao isn't really interested in whatever the guy has to say.

But the guy doesn't stop poking him. It's annoying.

"What?" Tao pretty much growls, wanting the dude to just go away. But he only smirks.

"We're closing," he says, not scared by Tao's glare (at which Tao pouts inside his mind. He wouldn't show his cute pout to a random dude whom he's trying to terrify).

"What?" Tao glances at the guy, confused.

"The cafe. We are closing. Your prince went home a few minutes ago. Go away." The guy has this annoying tone, like he's talking to a child, and Tao doesn't like it. But he chooses to focus on one part of what the dude said.

"My prince?" Because, really, that made Tao even more confused. Kind of. Especially as he didn't think anybody might have noticed him staring at his waiter. He was trying to be very, very subtle and he was sure he was doing great.

"Yeah. Gone. Will come tomorrow. Bye." The dude takes the empty plate and cup and walks away.

Tao finally pouts, unhappy with his waiter being gone. And very annoyed by somebody having noticed him staring. Not cool.
