Thank you, friend. I've been looking back over some of the things I posted here, and all of my insanity during bar prep, and I can't help but think of you when I see it :)
I just saw this reply so I am now responding to it almost two months later. Whatever.
I spent SO much time writing fic this summer in lieu of studying for the bar. So much. I have never been a long-fic writer, but I must have written 20,000 in the ten weeks I was studying, including a 14,000 word massive fic for a new (to me -- the show is on season 5) fandom that is probably the piece of writing I'm most proud of like... in my whole fic-writing existence. While I was writing, I was reminded of you and how frequently we'd get Bones fic from you during your bar exam summer.
I guess something about bar studying really does breed creativity, huh?
I haven't watched Bones in a few years, but I still love the characters, and I enjoyed your fic a good deal. It almost made me want to get caught up with the show, which would be quite the accomplishment after all this time. I do miss writing for them though.
Should I take it as a challenge to convince you guys to catch up?
Or maybe there needs to be an overall recap, so that if people want to jump on for the last season (because guys, I think S11 is it, forever and for always), then they have something to consult for the highlights/maybe tiny fic/maybe I'm already working on this....
I start writing things for these kids, and Sweets, he just keeps coming back to me. I miss that boo so badly. Thank you so much for reading! I have always valued your opinion so much!
Second, that was just beautiful. I love the closure surrounding Sweet's death, Booth and Brennan finding their way back to each other after Booth does the unthinkable, just the whole story. I haven't read any Bones fic in quite a while, but you made me fall in love again.
Thank you!!!!! You were always so supportive, and it's so nice to talk to you again! I think Sweets's death is something they've been dealing with pretty well all year, but I'm hoping that we do get some sense of closure at the end of the season. We shall see!
Oh this was SO fun! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you're still crazy for them because I am too! Your Booth & Brennan banter was perfect in this! What I really loved though was the way that Booth differentiates between Brennan and Bones because YES!!! So true! Wonderful fic! I can see them naming the new kid Lance.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting! It's good to know there are still B/B crazies out there. I am really pulling for them to name the baby Lance, because I love this idea that they've all got kids named after friends and family who have passed away, and there's this notion of life going on, and how you can build a children's playground on a graveyard of ghosts, and maybe that's what you should do, to move on while honoring the past.
