That's not been true for a couple of years now, the loophole was sealed up. His recent disaster Dungeon Siege with Jason Statham was funded entirely by many small backers, dentists and doctors, etc. who will likely never see their money back or any tax writeoff.

That said, the first 5 minutes of Boll's new film Postal are online. They are in incredibly poor taste. They are also pretty funny.

that was more in bad taste than funny to me. if you're going to choose an incendiary topic like brown people in a cockpit talking about the virgins Allah allots to martyrs, you'd better have your A game, humor-wise. because if it ain't funny, you end up looking like an asshole who went with shock value without substance.

that said, the technical aspects of that clip were competent, if uninspired. I was unimpressed and not entertained.

I just had a thought. Could it be that Uwe Boll was led to believe that he had a real talent and skill for directing by people who had other ideas in mind? "Sure Uwe, you make great movies! You've got our support!"

And now! And now he's left with this idea that he's *awesome*, and his original backers can't use him any more, so he's off on his own like some poor little animal left in the cold...

...damn! CRUEL CRUEL WORLD!

wow, you're giving him the benefit of the doubt? in a way that's even more insulting than calling him out on his bad faith -- he ends up looking like a deluded stooge in your scenario!
