That was an interesting take on Drunk Pam.

I think you are right that Kelly is just that clueless! Something in her is a bit too perky to get Pam.

Oh, I love that Fountains of Wayne's CD. It's one of those albums that I listen to without skipping a track. Great choice!

I had the song stuck in my head at the time and so the title, for a change, ended up being the first thing that I wrote. Usually it's the last thing, after much angst.

I hadn't actually listened to that album in the time since I started watching The Office, so, when I listened to it again when I started writing this, I couldn't believe how well the styles suit. FoW = awesome.

Hey, you!

You rock at the Kelly voice. More Kelly fic! More! It's a welcome change to see how her chatter and simple sweetness could be solace to others, instead of nail on the chalkboard. 'Cause she means well, you know?

I think "Hey Julie" from that FoW album is some kind of Jim/Pam anthem.

Hooray, you made it! And thank you!

The strangest thing about thinking like Kelly was the places during Pam's attention black-outs. I actually do know what she was talking about, but oh dear God does road lead onto road with that girl and between being her and drunk!Pam I started suffering from attention-deficit syndrome because neither one of them could stay on the same topic for more than a few seconds at a time. ::clutches head::

Okay, I am super SUPER drunk myself right now so I may not be coherent, but this was SO GOOD, like, good to the degree where I feel like I need to WRITE BETTER so I can be THIS GOOD. Wow, I need to comment tomorrow when I can be more coherent and can type without all the backspacing to correst my drunkeness.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?

At first I read that as "I really hope you're still like this when you're sober" and I thought "Well, not quite so effusive ( ... )

Like, seriously, I almost hate reading something like this in a way because then I feel like I totally have to step up my OWN stuff to keep the quality of the fic up across the board, man. There's so much PRESSURE.

Bwahahahaha. No, you are fine; seriously, I am all dancy that you liked the fic because, like with Kovsky and Kyra, I had been reading all your stuff before this and am full of gratitude that I measure up. Yay!

I love Kelly. She really is one of the lucky ones.

Wowowwow! That was so spot on that I'm feeling all hazy and woozy just from reading it. (Seriously. It's 11:30am here.) It's so funny and sad all at once, how Pam has this really strong internal clarity about things being *not right*, but she can't work out what to do, and everything keeps coming back to that, in an out of focus way. And like everyone else said, the fact that it's not all about Jim makes it really seem like it's truly coming from Pam's pov, not fandom's.

Wow, that is an excellent way to put it, and it makes me feel clever in retrospect even though it never occurred to me while I was writing. I just... it's not all about Jim, even if he thinks it is; at the end of the day we're all writing about a long-term committed relationship falling apart, and I would hate to treat that lightly.

So glad you liked it! Thank you!
