Attention : Students

It has come to my attention that some students wish to celebrate Halloween with the muggle tradition of dressing in costumes. In order to keep such a practice from distracting students from the normal business of the day, I would strongly suggest all students keep their festivities private. Does this apply to just between classes or all during the evening during the feast?

At the moment I am in favor of it applying to the entire evening. That, I suppose, is really up to the headmaster. I suppose you must post an owl to him if you have doubts.

Because your ridiculous hat is against school dress code regulations as started in section 14, paragraph 26 of the Hogwarts Student Manual.

If it were not, I'm sure you would find the Professors very understanding.

As Mr. Malfoy has so helpfully pointed out, the hat which I am frequently removing from my classroom is against school regulations, Mr. Castro.

When the rules are rewritten to say that cowboy hats are outlawed, then I shall obide by it. Besides, those archaic rules are so...old!

Luna read the announcement and shook her head. "People wearing frivolous costumes? How horrible!" she said to herself, seriously. A few minutes later she closed her journal and continued to class, wearing the feather hat and gloves she had picked as her costume for the day.
