Mondavi's Microbiologist quit (O RLY?) and so I get to start work sooner than planned so I can train with the Microbiologist they are currently sharing with another winery. Got a job with Mondavi winery for the summer. Sounds like fun.
Interviewed today (via phone) with Genentech for a better position. It is unlikely that they would hire me, but it would be awesome. I'm staying positive. I think the interview went well.

My writing won last week's writing challenge from one of my writing communities. Yay! It was a short piece, but winning made me feel good.

I spent the last two days doing essentially nothing. Watching anime and eating snacks. I watched Kaleido Star, Princess Tutu, and FMA. It was awesome, but now I feel guilty.

So I finally heard back from Genentech today and I didn't get the position. The HR lady wanted to make me feel better and told me that they didn't hire anybody from the pool they interviewed and that they were going to start all over again.
