I am totally blanking on this paper. 2-3 pages, from a 30 page article I've already read. All I have to do is state the thesis, main arguments, and what it contributes to the world of Greek art.

And I am completely blank.

The article is called "Biographies from Early Greece," and it focuses around the analysis of two pieces of Late Geometric pottery found in funerary context, each interred with human remains. The method of the analysis is something called object biography: basically, that is a fancy anthropological way of saying, 'what was this for?' Only the article explains it in such a complex, theory-laden way that it's difficult to follow. In simple terms, it is the biography of an artifact; it's social context and history.

Hm. That may be my delimna. I was trying to explain the object biography, for I think that IS one of her main points in the article even if it is only the method applied. Heh, I think I tried to turn this into one of my anthro theory papers instead of an art history reivew of an article.
