Question

I'm studying for my Medical Anthropology final on Tuesday, and one of the topics is organ donation. We had to watch this clip, and I find that I'm fascinated by this topic. After viewing it (it's only 3minutes), what are your thoughts? I'm curious.

I do have an organ donor sticker on my driver's license.

AAAHHH MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY...I wanted to take it next semester but the prof supposed to be teaching it isn't!! I was so disappointed when I found out last year. ;___;

We talked about organ donation in forensic pathology this semester though (lol my final is Thursdayyyyy), but it was more from the dead person's POV. I don't have a signed organ donation card though. :/ My parents aren't really..."big" on this kind of thing?

Definately take the class whenever you have the opportunity to do so!

Why are your parents opposed to it? Is it based on religious beliefs? What are *your* thoughts on it? I am for it, obviously. I'm just curious.

By then I would have graduated so I wouldn't really have an opportunity... ;w;

They're not really opposed to it, but they're not really for it either. Does that make sense? It's sort of like...they just want their bodies to be intact when buried/whatever.
I personally don't mind organ donation - I'd rather it be for science than for another person, because I know some of my organs aren't in the best condition. XD;;
