Well, today was the day. Yesterday our little Pickle stopped eating, and taking her into the vet's this morning, my parents came to the decision that it was time to let her go. Unexpected

There's nothing like coming home from a midterm you really should have done better on, being sick or not, to find three police cars, four officers, and half a dozen people standing around one apartment that is four doors down from you, with at least one person in the back of one of the patrol cars.

Timing
I would have to get sick a couple of days before a midterm I'm not completely prepared for. >:(
Hate sinus infections. They freakin' hurt. Can't think like this. Staying home from classes and work in the hopes that I can rest enough today to be coherent for the exam tomorrow. Blah.

Calling all astronomers
Why is it that on the days you're running late, everything conspires to make you even more late? Horrific rain that made it so darn difficult to see while driving, getting stopped by the train, which backs traffic up so much that you're going to miss at least one, if not two lights before you get over the tracks, and then so many puddles to dodge ( Read more... ) -
Discussion Question
This semester, the University of Memphis has decided to drop American History as a required course for completion of the Bachelor's degree, stating it'll save the campus money. From this point forward, no one has to take any American History course. Not one ( Read more... ) -
Not Bad
You know, on this very sunny day (preceding a two day thunderstorm extravaganza), I'm finding a simple pleasure in sitting outside by the main fountain, passing the time by playing on the computer until I have to go to work.
It's the kind of simple pleasure I don't indulge in too often. I should really take more care to try to.

The decision would be easier if I didn't have an appointment at 1pm on campus that I really need to keep.
