I just couldn't leave things the way they were at the end of the second part, but I couldn't make things easy for the boys, either. I'm such a sadist.

I guess it's because it seems to be my favorite pastime, those old familiar mind games. Even when I say I don't want to play them anymore, I end up doing it. It sucks, but it's cathartic to write and read about. So thanks! I'm glad you've returned the boys to me, for more fun torture and thinly veiled self-psychotherapy!
