i have never understood why a "bowel movement" has been called a "bowel movement." in my mind, every time i hear it, i think of, like, the civil rights movement, or the women's rights movement, so i think that those bowels are, like, uprising and demanding their rights, or something

Well, a bowel movement refers to a movement within your intestines...your bowel...it's not really fun or pretty...(I've seen a colon before)
