i'm leaving today for russia (well, actually NYC for two days, then russia), where I will be for the next seven and a half weeks. i think my body is very soon going to have a major reaction to the anxiety, stress and excitement.

i've been waiting for mountain day (the smith form of congé) for the past week, and I keep waking up at 7 to bells (the signal for mountain day), only to find out (after i've slept through my first class of the day) that the bells were from the town churches and not from the quad tower. *&?@ townies.
