One of the Downsides of Rare Slash: It's Rare

Nov 01, 2005 22:39

I know I'm a snob and I get off on having a rather rare pairing. I've found out that subconscious enjoyment over the past seven years.

But when you're going through rough times, you do wish you had a pile of good slash to find refuge in. Ya know? It's just pure indulgence. Ah well. I suppose I can always dig through the old reliables.

Either I'm just sad and read more than others, but I think I've worn out the few classics for now. Darn.

I think I got through "Like Describing the Alphabet" six or seven complete times before it was worn out for the time being. I ration my Eleanor K. fixes very carefully, though (ha, Eleanor K-rations). I really really don't want to get tired of "Oxygen." Like, ever. Despite the slightly fluffy ending.

Granted, I've only been shipping the ship for a couple of months, so. :p

Maybe I should try Mosca's again. It's actually been a few months since I read that one. It's a lot more romantical than what I usually read, but it is very good. All right, that's the plan!

Word. Unfortunately, yes. I am writing, actually, but still weighted down by procrastination and low grade writer's block. Could be we just need to push each other.
