Dream a little dream of me...
This dream was so strange that, when I woke up at 5:30 am from it, I told both Steve and his roommate (who happened to be up) the entire thing before going back to sleep. Well, not really, but it is a bit tricky to walk still. My ankle gets all swollen by the end of the day and my foot gets really tired. But I had my first physical therapy appointment! Walking is getting easier! I experienced a minor setback about a week ago, during which I tripped while walking and stomped down on my once-broken foot. I was really scared I had broken more bones, but thankfully it seems like I just bruised the bone. I may have a hairline fracture (we'll be able to tell in 1 more ( Read more... ) -

It was beautiful outside yesterday! And last week was lovely as well. May is finally here with a great deal of wonderful things happening: I get to travel to Minnesota to meet Steve's family and go to a wedding (I am so incredibly excited/nervous for this trip!!), I start putting lotion on my scars so they start healing up, and I get a pin out in ( Read more... ) -

I found myself this morning hopping around the kitchen with my cast on one foot, a crutch under one arm, tea in one hand, and a high-heeled shoe on. I decided to practice walking around in my heels this morning to prepare me for walking around the research conference next week. Just an update on the foot; honestly I've had the whole week off from work and will probably have next week off too, so writing these updates will hopefully keep me sane and not staring at the TV constantly. [side note: If I watch another damn episode of Make Me a Supermodel, my eyes WILL explode.]
