i'd like to see ana and kate in these roles....but i know i'd be subconsciously comparing them to kristin and idena, who i saw on broadway in feb. 04. that's not fair, but im sure everyone does it. like, getting that image and those original ideas of "how it should be" out of one's head is really difficult.
but i enjoyed your review! :)

I never thought I'd hear someone say that people NOT cheering in the middle of a song in a musical was ruining their enjoyment.

Personally, I found all the American Idol-type screaming after and sometimes during every number to be extremely distracting.

I agree with you completely. I HATE when people clap and cheer in the middle of a show. Especially when they drown out the next couple lines.

I don't hate it in the middle of the show, necessarily - like, if there's a number that's supposed to be a showstopper, I don't mind applause. I do agree, however, that cheering that drowns out the following lines is very obnoxious.

It didn't ruin my enjoyment. I also dislike it when people cheer too much. I just expected some sort of reaction from the audience, perhaps not cheering, but nobody did and it was kind of strange.
