Today, Jesus carries His cross on His tortured and bloody back to the place of His death. He is brutally nailed to a cross and then displayed where all can mock Him and watch Him die. For 3 horrific hours, it pains Him to breathe, move, speak. Yet He doesn't complain or give up. Finally, He gives His Spirit to God and dies.

I absolutely love Lent. It is my favorite time in the Church year. And soon it will all begin again! I have already worked out a plan of what I am going to do and also what I am going to give up.
