Why am I not surprised to see people panicking over NEWTs?

I'm looking forward to NEWTs, actually. If anyone had bothered to do anything along the lines of paying attention during classes or doing at least one assignment, they wouldn't be so stressed out. But, then again, not everyone can keep up.
