I'm getting a lot of mixed messages about my work at the church.

You'd think people would be glad to be viewed as an equal, not feel threatened by it.

[Visible to anyone that's spoken to him that isn't Envy.]
Well, whatever.
If people are going to come to me, looking for help I'm going to help them.

And I'm not going to let some jerk push me around.

That's the spirit.

I'll just have to make sure to avoid him. It shouldn't be too hard, if he doesn't know when I'm there.

Right. Just be careful... there are too few of you sympathizing with our cause for one of you to get killed.

I don't plan on dying any time soon.

Well...it's not like they've had the best experiences with Blondes in the past.

Can you really blame them for being cautious?

There's a difference between being cautious and calling me a bitch or telling me not to stick my nose in their business. I wasn't bothering him, I don't see why he cares whether or not I'm at the church.

Ah.

...I think I know who you mean.

Getting a name for himself, huh?

There is always a backlash to be expected when you do something that seems out of the ordinary.

You cannot expect that trying to be nice to the very people that have been oppressed by your type would be warmly welcomed and not be conceived as ridden with hidden agendas.

And, in regard to judging people by their hair colour... it works both ways.

I don't know what your problem is, pal.

Where I spend my time has nothing to do with him, he should just mind his own business.

I don't have a problem. I'm highlighting to you possible reasons why people react the way they do; you don't have to treat me like that.

I don't even know who this 'he' you speak of refers to.

Just sounded to me like you think I should be judged by the actions of others. I'm not them, and I don't agree with them, I don't judge everyone by their physical features.

but .... If I misread, I'm sorry.

As for who he is, just some guy on the network. That thinks he can threaten me, to keep me from teaching kids to read.

It only stands to reason that some would be frightened.

Frightened? By me?

I read to kids at a church, what's so intimidating about that?

xangel_of_rainx September 12 2008, 19:28:02 UTC
Frightened in general, not just of yourself.

Many have been led astray by false promises.

I guess, but I didn't promise him anything, why's he bothering me?

Apparently, someone doesn't like what I do with my spare time.

It's nothing to worry about, really.

How come? It's not really their business, is it? What you do?

Well... He seems to think it is.
