[The broadcast starts with static. Stuttering, crackling static. This is legit static, guys. It's still a transmission of sorts, but nothing useful at all. It might even be irritating if you stare at it too long

Hey, there's something wrong with your 'Gear, where are--

France?! [Shit did he just fall out the window or was that just the 'Gear? Envy is going to head right on over to the tower he saw during the fall to check that out. Nobody else he cares about is allowed to die, especially not France.]

[It's not very long before he's gotten himself over to the base of the Bell Tower. He's looking around for the fallen 'Gear and very, very hopefully not a body.]

[Almost as soon as Envy reaches Bell Tower, France comes out of the front entrance, hurrying to retrieve his 'Gear. He's dusty from the Tower itself, and it takes him a moment to spot Envy. France skids to a stop.]

Envy! What're you doing here?

[He sound a combination of surprised, embarrassed, and flustered. Why can't he ever be cool?]

[France is grinning, although the left half of the transmission is still distorted, although not as badly as it was.]

[Mostly static for the picture, and, while France's voice is audible, the sound of the static is also constant.]

Nothing, really! I just dropped the 'Gear and now it's being disobedient.

[France sighs, although he doesn't look particularly put-out.]

Attempting to. It's quite different from most of the communication technology I have more experience with handling, but it's an interesting project. I enjoy a challenge.

[The top half of the transmission is all blurry and stuff now, so Stocking can see the lower half of France's face. He's smiling, but it's kind of creepy without being able to see his eyes.]

Nothing much! Simply experiencing some technical difficulties. I think I'm getting closer to fixing it.
