To everyone who wanted to comment "What! Were you insane?!?" but didn't, I was a teenager when this occurred. Stories like this help me remember what it was like to be a teenager. When anyone asks how their child could possibly do whatever insane thing they did, I answer simply, "They're a teenager. Teenagers are insane."

When I crested the hill I saw the sides of two Nebraska state patrol cars blocking the Southbound two lanes of highway 81. I saw two more patrol cars blocking the Northbound lanes. This weekend I replaced the guts of our upstairs toilet. It had been running continuously, off and on, since we moved into the house almost four years earlier.
