Now that the latest experiment is behind us, and with the current situation only as always temporary at best - with a likely turn for the worse in the very near future - there are a few things that require serious consideration.

Hmph. This place definitely needs a larger clinic considering events lately; the facilities we have in this village is damn rustic in comparison to what I'm accustomed to back home, so this is something I can get behind with the other doctors here and work out some schedule. Apart from that, I'm collaborating with a member of my crew to make some more surgical tools, but whether or not they'll be any use to anyone with knowledge in that area is another thing entirely and I'll cross that bridge if it comes to it.

[ Can a reindeer hold a scalpel? Can McCoy collaborate with Spock without bickering with him? Who knows? ] Maybe some sort of meeting is in order to set these things in stone.

A meeting is obvious. However, in light of the differences between levels of medical technology in different worlds, I believe it would be more beneficial to have an overall compromise in terms of tools and materials. If you are the only one who can effectively use the facility and you are taken elsewhere, we would run into many of the same problems we do now.

I won't be participating in the fighting. Not all of us are, not all of us can for whatever our reasons may be. I'm not a doctor, but the probability of having injured persons returned to us is greater than not, so I would like offer my services in an assistance capacity in however its needed. As for suggestions...maybe it would be best to put together a list of things in the village that need up-keeping, those who will potentially be absent from their duties due participating in the war and a list of those who aren't and are available to temp, so to speak, in those needed positions until the fighters are returned.

One of the problems I've seen is the tendency we have here towards doing a lot of talking and planning without a large amount of following up. It's partially inevitable, because at any time a crucial person or two might be...gone.
