Spent the day sleeping or reading The Face of Battle.  Couldn't get more than a few hours sleep in a row, and felt pretty lethargic most of the day.

The roll back has fussed with my sleep schedule a little, but my cough has greatly abated and my nose isn't so stuffed, so the quality of sleep has returned.  Yay!

Picked up a 430 EXII flash for the camera today.  I've got a shoot planned for Thursday that's going to need some tight-spot lighting, and I figured I'll need a decent flash for that work.  The few test shots I did tonight look pretty good, so I think it was a good pick up ( Read more... )

Puttered around today.  Made some hill terrain for Field of Glory Ancients.  I used some brown foam sheets, like 1/4" thick.  Cut them into hill patterns and stacked them to get a tiny bit of height.  Swashed with some spray adhesive and sprinkled some static grass on.  The results look not too bad, and, more importantly, you can actually deploy ( Read more... )

Had some Hunter time today, after class.  We went to Timeless Toys new location - they used to be tucked into a really tiny, cramped store, but recently moved to a larger location.  Hunter loves the place, since they have a couple areas with play tables for the kids to try things.  He played with the trucks and trains and the dollhouses - anything ( Read more... )

Up early, but spent much of the morning playing LEFT 4 DEAD 2.  It was on sale for Halloween, and who doesn't enjoy shooting zombies.  Mostly the same as the first game, with some nice tweaks in the gameplay that ramps up the tension and difficulty.  Plus, fun to charge around with a chainsaw ( Read more... )
