I am entirely unsure as to why lj shit out a single quotation mark instead of...

I just said this to a coworker "Now I run games to be creative and to foster creativity in my fellow players, before now, though, it was just pure egomania."

I have a deep-seated irrational need to be able to run a good, current-edition 4e game at any given moment, regardless of any comparison between the game in question and what I actually want out of a session of roleplay. Also egomania, probably.

I thought you were just being minimalist.

I couldn't do egomania; players humble most of my efforts.

As a player, though, I can handle egomania.

Eh, there's a bit of both in any good GM/ST/ABS

Ill take your egomania any day of the week.

Where else can I play a character that whips out a violin and starts playing in the middle of a siege as bad guys are everywhere and shooting magic and arrows at him. And make bad puns about solving things with Violins.

Man I miss that character. His only useful attribute was translation and being and interpreter. Fighting skills were only so so. First campaign that I was ever in that Language was relevant.

Also getting kidnapped and molested by other players characters was a plus. You know who you are.
