The next morning, we went to visit the temple at Edfu.  We had an earlier than usual wake up call and we sorta complained about it, especially since breakfast wasn't going to be after the tour (there was a tea & coffee service before), but in the end we really appreciated why it was done.  Sherif told us he wanted us to be one of the first groups ( Read more... )

Thanks! It was actually pretty cheap. Total cost of tour, optional tours, airfare, and spending money was less than $3k. It was a "budget" tour, but it included a cruise on the Nile, all the transportation, hotels, most meals, and a guide. I thought it was a very good price.

Oh, also, it's easy to be vegetarian there. In Peru, "vegetarian" usually meant no beef or pork, but chicken and fish was "okay." It was absolutely no problem to request no meat at all.
