So, today Dave and I bought a tandem ocean kayak. We bought it despite the fact that we managed to flip it twice. The first time I bumped my head on a very large and sharp submerged rock. Following the blow to my head I swallowed a fuckload of ocean (also known as "nature's bathroom") and almost drowned. The second time Dave ended up a good 50

Yes well, perhaps next time I'll wear my life jacket instead of strapping it down to the kayak. Does it make sense that you're required by law to have them IN the kayak, but not to actually WEAR them?! I love Hawaii!
