I run into the same problem with my indie posts around this time of year! Not a lot of Jan 3rd movie releases, lol.

Unfortunately, I haven't read shit lately, but I hit 31 books for the year, which I'm not mad about! Gonna start a book this weekend for sure - my husband is going snowboarding, so I will have some me-time. I will have to see what's on my Kindle already, and if nothing looks good, I'll be buying Intermezzo because I missed my library window.

My goal every year is to read more books I own that I haven't gotten around to. This year I read 13 of them which wouldn't be so bad but I acquired so much more.

I usually have a few side goals and I was better at those. I read more Canadiana kept up with more recent books and read a ton of single author short story collections.

This is my goal as well but somehow new books always end up in my kindle 😭

I promised myself to not buy any new books in the new year until I have read the ones I have at home

I relate. I buy physical books but end up reading and buying on my Kobo more 🫠

Book of the Month sucked me in with their $5 book and a free hat and stickers deal, so I got Babylonia by Costanza Casati.

yesssssssssssssssssssssssss just today. I think Book 3 is supposed to come out in 2025 as well but not sure. I hope the series gets optioned into like an HBO series or something, it's very cinematic (better keep it an all-POC cast too).
