I might go see Companion, and I haven't seen the trailer so I think I am better off for it LOL.

I actually HATE how this is two AI falling in love trying to tug on my heart strings because both leads are cute. Because actual AI just apes human emotion and barely scrapes the surface at the real human experience. the actual apocalypse is slowly happening to us and they show us some ugly ass Meta looking avatars, barf.

This week has been full of Oscar watch progress.
Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl: We had never seen any Wallace and Gromit films or TV before, and a friend suggested watching The Wrong Trousers first, so we did that, and then went right into this one. So good!! I was pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoyed the humor and the visual slapstick, which is usually not my thing, as well as the storyline. It is amazing what a sense of character you get from Feathers McGraw even though he can't move his face or talk. And I love Gromit!!
The Apprentice: Stan and Strong were great, the cinematography worked well, I was whelmed by the rest. Hard for me to be objective about this subject.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes: Meh. I didn't see the trilogy, but from what I've read, that's a step up from this one. I don't think talking apes are my thing! It did look great, though ( ... )

I really liked The Seed of the Sacred Fig but it's long and intense.

Seeing Companion in IMAX, for some reason, tomorrow night, and then FINALLY The Seed of the Sacred Fig on Saturday. So excited!! I've heard meh reviews for Love Me, but I may get to it because I like end-of-the-world type stuff. Gives me something to hope for! 🤞
I saw No Other Land at NYFF, so glad it's getting a release.
