Uh, it's fine. Curses get the better of us all the time. As for my situation - that's just the City's sense of humor. Take a guy away from his life and destroy his very expensive textbooks. Hilarious.

I'm glad that's not what you're pursuing. Honestly, you sounded like you might be on the verge of burnout.
