REsume that's not worth shit

Well, I have revised my resume. And I do not think it is really going to be very useful, not at getting an internship anyways. I am not sure how to improve it, so suggestions are most definately appreciated ( Read more... )

I'd get rid of the 4-H stuff--it's too old. I would play up the ISP with Beck, as well as your role in Melee. But it's not too bad--confidence. You've made a change and know what you want--isn't that great!?
On the other hand, I'd assume you won't get an internship this go-round and write another resume that plays up your other skills for other types of jobs.

in related course work, put independent study with president beck; in collaboration change "lead" to "led"

"Participation" doesn't sound that strong. Have you looked at other resumes for recent grads? The whole "Communication" section strikes me as not that relevant.

You need to beef up your dance involvement. Haven't you choreographed? Didn't you help with laying the groundwork for a program at Lawrence? What about the labanotation? Put skills before related coursework, and give some idea of your level of dancing.

I'd do an alterna-resume that's more practically based: emphasis on computer skills, etc.

Also, it's not exactly what you're looking for, but theaters and museums in Chicago often advertise for telemarketers or box office help, you could pick up a Reader and look through it...
