So finally, after 4 months of aggravation and confusion, I figured out what was wrong with the water lines in my kitchen sink. Water had been periodically backing up into the dishwasher, and I could not for the life of me figure out why. I'm having trouble with the washing machine that I should have researched way more before I had it installed. Not up to code, and I'm skeptical about getting it up to code. Deborah must be loving this. Sixties, sunny, warm. I have all the windows in my place open. I made the greatest herb-butter today. I found cheese rinds at Whole Foods for under $2.00 a carton. You can shave the cheese off, and it ends up being quite a lot--maybe a couple cups. A great replacement for parmesan, btw. More flavorful. I bought a pint ( Read more... )

Well, I'm back again, after a forced hiatus after the breakdown of my computer. It took about a month and 15-20 hours on the phone for Dell to diagnose that it was a hardware problem (which I had intimated from the begining).
