I just got a fix-it ticket from our friendly CHP for my license plate light being out. What makes me angry was that I had a spare bulb and installed it while he was running my license for wants and warrants, but he wrote the ticket anyway. Now I have to send in $25 to the court for processing fees.

And California has a state debt?

Only three weeks into the new job.

They're moving me to second shift because I don't require supervision.

I'm getting a 'substantial' raise.

The development engineers already know me by name because of the 'help' I've given them. ("Dammit, Ted! Stop finding the design flaws!")

Yup, I'm fitting in juuuust fine.

Reid happened upon a skunk last night in the back yard, probably thinking it was a cat. She managed to dodge the worst of it, but still got a bit on her. Delta Design builds machinery that handles microcircuit devices for testing and sorting. My job is testing and calibration of the final product.
