You probably heard this from news: yesterday a terrible earthquake happend in Ya'an, Sichuan province. I live in Chengdu (it's about 100 km far from Ya'an) and even here we could feel the ground shaking! It was my very first earthquake, because in St.Petersburg (Russia) there's no such thing! Well, I've been learning Chinese for 2 months already. We had 2 tests, I passed both, everything is fine. Still can't communicate freely, but my pronunciation is much better than before (at least my teacher says so). It's so exciting to learn a foreign language! Very hard, but still it's a pleasure. Wow, my first disease in China. Guess Chinese microbes are too tough for my immune system. I caught a cold, but it lead to acute bronchitis just in two days! Not very pleasant experience, of course. Yesterday I visited Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It was the most exciting experience here in China! I'm in love with pandas, and with small red pandas, too! They are sooo cute!!! Want to hug them!

Tomorrow starts my education - I'm going to study Chinese in Chengdu Normal University. I'm a bit nervous about it: Chinese is a very hard language for me. And meeting new people is not so simple either. Hope everything will be Ok!

Yesterday I watched "Prometheus" for the fifth time, it was just released in China (in Russia it was shown in July, so I thought it was a great opportunity to watch the film on a big screen again). Few days ago I visited a place called "Hetang Yuese", in Sanshengua (Chengdu, Sichuan). It's the place where the lotus flowers grow. It's so beautiful there! And the flowers smell so wonderful!
