I've finally returned to Duluth. I'm really excited to be back. Theresa is my only roommate that is here, but there are people next door that we can hang out with. I finally found a job for the summer. Turns out my old youth leader from church (Mike)works at Dittrich Specialties and he hooked me up with a 7-3 job for the summer. Well, I'm a few weeks into my summer vacation. It seems that everyone around me is working or going on trips out of town or out of the state. I only have one final left...tomorrow morning. Then I'm going home for the summer. It's really weird having so much time to waste. I find myself walking around the apartment and I can't find anything to do or eat or clean. I haven't been this bored in a long time. My room is getting really bare. After this week, I only have one more week of classes and then the following week is finals. My mom came up last weekend for my choir concert and she took home the majority of my stuff. I had a fun weekend. I went to a MLC party with LaTasha, which was really fun. The only thing I really didn't like was that almost everyone was smoking and it just kept building up in the basement. I found a place to live next year! It is off campus and there is a shuttle to UMD. I got to meet the people that I'll be living with and they all seem really nice. I still have to buy a lot of furniture and things, but I'm really excited ( Read more... )

Today has been an interesting day. I found out that UMD housing contracts for next year are due tomorrow. Although I still have some time to decide, I have no idea where I'm going to live next year. I am going to have to turn in my contract and deposit tomorrow as a last resort. I am on a list for living off campus at a nice place, but that isn't ( Read more... )
