It's from the Germany/Brazil friendly earlier this week - the game that was put forward to Ballack as his farewell. Whether or not he still belongs with the NT, his legacy cannot be denied.

Around this time one year ago, the Germany-England round of 16 game was about to start, and I was about to take one step closer to falling completely in love with that drama-ridden team.

It surprises me how little (relatively) has been written about Germany's reunification. Usually it's sort of tacked-on as an endnote to books about the Cold War, and it bothers me that so many publications make it sound as if it was all peace love and rainbows once that Wall came down. Update
Haven't updated for a while, so in brief - in the past four and a half months I've relocated to start a new job in a new city. So far, so good. I like my job (most aspects) and I like the people I work with (most of the time). I guess one can't really ask for much more than that ( Read more... ) -
