We're back

We toyed for a bit with the idea of driving from Idaho to Devils Tower (no, there is no apostrophe, and yes, it bugs me, too) and then up through South Dakota, but it would have taken a long time and our boys have a trip early Monday morning. Your trip sounds so amazing! Hopefully it's still good to be back in some way...and, if for no other reason, maybe these will be your final 9 months in ND before moving on to a wonderful (and permanent?!) home (like in ID).

When I was on Catalina Island (for only 10 weeks), I thought I would lose my mind if I didn't get my mountains back ;) I remember coming back right after a thunderstorm and just breathing in that CO air...it's a wonderful feeling, without a doubt!

Yeah, I did a lot of sitting and just SMELLING on this trip. :) It's funny--when we were in Idaho, if I wasn't thinking about it, it felt like we'd never left, and that we could go on as normal. When we got back to ND, it felt like we'd never been here before and were just moving in. We keep wandering around, wondering how exactly we get to places, and trying to remember all these different unwritten social rules, etc.

But the mountains. I'm pretty sure we need to blow up as many photos as we can of them and completely cover the walls. :)
