late nights fall on heavy shoulders
weighted down with the plainness of the world
when i look into the darkness, i can't see my dreams

it's hard to tell if these shoulders are weary, or just plain weak

some days i wonder if i could ever be a good lawyer
this is one of those days.

part of me loves that he's asking me to do all these tasks, he is, after all, kind of a big deal...

part of me feels like i've gone back to being a gopher...

but at the end of the day, i just want to be an apprentice in the dark arts of rain making.

without you, this house doesn't quiet feel like a home

just got a text from beijing, she's boarding the plane.

these past couple of months ran really long.

now there's less than 12 hours to go until i see her.

i search for words now to describe my feelings, wishing the hours would pass faster, pacing around the room at times, yet the clocks mock me.

not long now.
