Dum dum dum dum another one bites the dust.

Considering that when I set up my 2010 diary this year, I went through writing in all these great bands and shows I'd see in the first 3 months of this year, I have seen very few bands so far ( Read more... )

The thing I don't like about this Killers nonsense is that according to the Channel 10 news late last night (if it's changed since then ignore this post) they are only canceling part of their tour, they're still visiting brisbane and melbourne (I think they were the two). If you have a family member that is so terribly ill, then cancel all shows, not half of them. It doesn't make sense to me.

I can understand G-way's voice. After what happened with Bert from the Used and I went to school with a singer who thought she had nodules which can be devastating to a singer. But I am disappointed I'm not seeing them next weekend. I think I would be MORE disappointed if they'd released their new album.

I just wish Muse did a side show because I wouldn't be able to handle Big Day Out but I'd love to see them.

Hugs dude. Are you still going to come to Sydney?

Yeah, allegedly they'll be in Melbourne and Brisbane and I have the exact same qualms about this. I also don't think they'll be in Melbourne or Brisbane because seriously, if what's going down is going down it's not going to resolve itself in another 5 days. Even if it did, are they going to fly to Australia for two days? Really?

Has Gerard's voice been confirmed to be nodules? I didn't know. What I've heard about that is that whatever is fucking up his voice will have been fucking it up for weeks and they still didn't cancel the shows. Sigh.

No Sydney for me now, I was only going to be there 21 hours :/

It hasn't been confirmed, I'm only speculating. I guess while it would've been better to not sit on it for weeks and get our hopes up, I think I'd rather miss seeing them this once if it means he'll be able to sing later.

It really does suck. They need to set up some sort of fan insurance fund so that if this happens, fans can get compensation for hotel accomm and flights.

They haven't cancelled Australia but a few months back Brian got sick (i think??) and they cancelled a bunch of shows. I got my ass handed to me by some Killers fans when I said I was mad about the cancellation and they said ~if a band's cancelled shows recently, you should accept there's a 50/50 chance they'll cancel yours~ so I swear Placebo, I swear.

Polar Bears are awesome. I am going to see them on the Gold Coast next Wednesday and this makes me happy. Polar Bears don't fucking cancel anything. If anything gets in their way they just fucking eat it.

This rambling entry brought to you by my back hurts, its hot and I am generally pissed off with the world.
