I am contemplating going back and working at the bookstore once a fortnight. I know, I must be insane. I had the thought recently and then I went in to buy something today and one of the girls I used to work with mentioned that the owners want me back. I wonder if there is any Doctor Who/True Blood fanfic out there. Probably. The real question would be is it any good? I haven't read fanfic in years. I'm not going to go looking though; Australia doesn't get the 4th season of True Blood till August and I would rather stay away from spoilers. Thank you to everyone who left well-wishes about my dad. Things are looking up at the moment; he is still sans leg (obviously) but his attitude is a lot more upbeat than I was expecting. My dad had his leg amputated today. We've known for a long time that this was a real possibility (because he wouldn't quit smoking and drinking so the blood clots kept coming back) but the reality came on quite quickly. Basically I've fallen in love with my job. The job I got because my sister is the general manager of the company; a job that was supposed to only be a stop gap until I got a job in publishing. But I really, really love it. My team is awesome, it's challenging and varied. ( Read more... ) -

I have been indulging in retail therapy. Probably not the best thing considering I will be dropping to part time work as of next week, but I've always had a pretty shabby winter wardrobe (despite my love of the season) and also because I have finally found jeans that suit my shape.
