Not often enough, that's for sure! And in that ep in particular, the gap between the next-to-last and last scenes was kind of, um, jarring - and thus fic happened. A LOT.

Excellent piece. Well plotted, good characterization, believable dialog, perfect pacing. I'd write more but I'm an hour late in making dinner... I just didn't want to stop reading.

This story just killed me. I love Carson's family with all its strong women. You created a great atmosphere in this fic that kept me interested all the way through. Rodney's grief and anger and guilt are so real, and his actions were true to his character. I love that John defended Rodney after he sent him back to the room, but didn't say a word about it. I wish we could have seen that. Great job!

Thank you so much. I've met a lot of amazing women in my life, and there's a lot of them scattered among Las Becketts - so it's a relief to hear people liked them! I would've liked to see John defending Rodney too - and so would Rodney, probably. Pity Anna's never going to spill the beans to Rodney about what Sheppard said....

This is hard. I've avoided post-Sunday fics because I just hate what they did to begin with and in my own private AU, Carson never died.

But this was such a fine piece of writing. The characters are true to who John and Rodney ought to be, even if the show's writers don't seem to get them right much of the time. And the Becketts, my god, what a wonderful, awful, real family.

Oh my, that would be lovely. Of course the show might need to be X-rated.

Seriously though, I just get so frustrated at the inconsistency and missed opportunities, and downright wrong things they have these people doing. So yeah, fanfic writers, god that would be good.

Family's an amazing and terrifying thing - I think it was Rodney's comment to Carson at the end of the ep about Carson's family that started me off down this road. Thank you so much.
