New Year
Hope everyone is having a great new year so far!
I'd have to say, the last 3 months of 2017 had been the busiest I've ever been. I was almost done with my studies when I got a part-time job in retail near the end of October. Miss
I finished my first teaching prac at a high school. What a challenging but wonderful experience. I definitely learnt a lot about teaching and myself throughout the process. The challenges of connecting with the students, finding my voice and making the lessons engaging were very real. I questioned whether I was fit for this job. I never really had ( Read more... ) -

Quick updates
- I'm on summer break
- I started playing sport (oztag)
- I enrolled in an online course for Japanese pronunciation
- I watched Chihayafuru Parts I & II at the cinema (really enjoyed it!)
- I sent my resume to a tutoring centre; still looking for a new job

Feeling better
My mum and I were the unfortunate pair who got incredibly sick for the past week or so. We had really bad coughs and stayed in bed most days. We even ate congee 3 meals a day on some days and I've never been so sick *pun intended* of congee in my life. Juggling Time
Time flies. July is passing and August is coming. The temperature has greatly dropped and so has my motivation to get out of bed early mornings. It's the second week back to uni and I'm not too pleased with my timetable this semester. Most of my classes are in the evening. Something in common
It's my 3rd week of uni for the semester and I'm enjoying all my units so far. I hung out with 2 classmates after lecture today and we talked about school and our interests during the hour break. It was really cool to find out that they enjoy watching dramas and variety shows as much as I do. The moment when we found out that we are all watching ' ( Read more... )
