I suppose I could open this entry with a lot of a fanfare, but I'll cut right to the chase: the California Supreme Court has overtuned the ban on gay marriage. Tonight I caught the last hour of John Waters' one-man special "This Filthy World." It was an interesting mix of stand-up comedy and reminiscing about moviemaking, although I'm sure I would have found it much more interesting if I'd actually seen any of his movies. This has been an eventful few days, so I thought I'd write about them. First and foremost, this weekend I learned that a childhood friend of mine, Jake, had a terrible accident on his skateboard and is in a medically-induced coma.
