Right then, Edinburgh this time. Last one for a few weeks I think. Probably for the best, believe it or not I'd quite like the opportunity to spend a bit of time in the office!

Well just got back from Barcelona, six hours on planes in airports etc. Time to go to work in seven hours or so *headdesk* Most entertaining item? Section of 'serious' Spanish news programme about a horse on a treadmill.... Yes, you did read that correctly - they've set up a gym for horses :)

We're now so cash-strapped round here that I've been spending my time this morning fixing a £5 network card with a soldering iron rather than just buying a new one..... :S

So I have returned from Austria, and appear to be intact despite the best efforts of the rather exciting twin prop. plane they insist on flying far too close to some very solid-looking Alps as you approach Innsbruck. So I have new wheels. In a way this is good, since these wheels are legally allowed to move. On the other hand it is something of a change of pace to what I am used to....

You've just returned from a four day meeting, do you a) go to the pub, b) go home and crash, c) go to the office?

So tomorrow I'm off to Southampton for four days in another exciting, politics laden adventure into consortium academia. Joy.

So I woke up this morning expecting to see green fields, Rabbits, Sheep, small fluttery birds, Orangutans, festive Sloths with bells around their necks and little baskets bouncing merrily around in circles about the trees, you know the usual stuff; and what was I greeted by? 3 inches of snow.... Is it me?????

You've got to love the Spanish.

Take all the small children in a city, give them fireworks that probably aren't legal here at all, leave while they throw them at each other and innocent passers by.

Sounds like a party to me! :)
