Dare I feel hopeful on this historic evening? Lots of merry-making in the streets of Portland. We should join them.

had a successful mushroom foray this weekend. Chanterelles and boletes were found and happily consumed. Most exciting, though, was stumbling across Hydnellum peckii (strawberries and cream fungus) under a log.
