Riku- now that things have calmed down around town I'm able to sneak out. Are you busy today?

Father seems upset about something. I can hear him and mother talking about something in their room, but I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps I am better off not knowing.

Anyway, the holiday is almost over, at least. I need to go and pay my respects soon. Maybe I'll do that tonight, when father and mother are asleep.

It's so interesting to hear about what people do during the holiday! Father and Mother have been out almost every night celebrating, but I just stay home and listen to the music blaring outside. It's peaceful, I guess.

Father is going to yet another party tonight, but I'll be staying home. After all, I do have to work on my "studies". Wouldn't want him to find the journal I've been writing in.
