Halloween OUGHT to be my favorite. It's most in line with my aesthetic, my outlook, my sense of humor. And I'm not religious (I identify as agnostic at this point, when I identify as anything at all). But there's something about Christmas, y'all ( Read more... )

I like the gifty aspect but that isn't all of it so Giftmas doesn't quite work for me. I am loving nancyblue's Decemberween though. *laugh*

My mother, who is a complete (if not die-hard) athiest, adores Christmas. Cookies and turkey and crafts and tree decorating and carols and the whole deal. So I have a soft spot for it, too, although Halloween is my personal favorite.

Nightmare Before Christmas is perfect for me because I love the Burtonesque aesthetic but I'm really really all about the season of renewal. *laugh*

I am glad that there are so many other people who are into it in a nonreligious sense.
