If I hear one more person use the word "retarded" in a context that does not follow "clinically" or "medically," I will start kicking asses. Or something. It's not a term for "stupid" or for things someone doesn't like, it does not make your point clearer by means of profanity, and it makes the person saying it sound like a simple-minded redneck. I feel bad! I went to the (belated) conference with my poetry prof, and the reason he's giving me a different assignment than the rest of the class is because he knows I can write more interesting topics than just image crap again and again.
